Sadly bad news is delivered with good news today. Today we have seen middleweight boxer Nick Blackwell take to Twitter and send a messages to his fans and supporters.
Nick said, “Just want to say a massive thank you for all the support and messages, means the world to me I’m on the mend now so I’ve been very lucky.”
“And massive thank you to everyone who raised money for me it’s been overwhelming!”
Nick Blackwell suffered a bleed to the skull during his fight with Chris Eubank Jr. and was subsequently put into an induced coma.
Luckily for the middleweight fighter he has proved to be as much of a warrior out the ring as he is in the ring, recovering well and getting back to himself.
However, when asked if he will fight again, Nick said, “No, I would be stupid to and my style doesn’t help myself lol.”
At least he sounds in high spirits about this decision.
Wish you all the luck on your continued recovery Mr Blackwell. You have shown great courage.
