2016 is not Amir Khan’s year. Not only did he get spectacularly knocked out against Canelo on May 7th, he has now injured his hand and has gone under the knife.
More bad news for Khan as has an op on his injured hand.
Amir Khan today had an operation on his injured hand. An injury that could of happened before the Canelo fight or after, there isn’t much information on this. This injury could keep him out for several months.

It’s not clear if this injury Will keep Amir Khan out for the rest of the year, Khan was hoping for a rematch with Danny Garcia in December after Khan was named the mandatory challenger.
Khan said, “Sorry to disappoint u for not attending and cancelling the charity iftar events in Leicester & Reading, due to my op”
Amir Khan’s wife, Faryal Makhdoom Khan said that the operation went well. Khan is expected to make a full recovery.
