Today is the day of the press conference for the rematch between Wladimir Klitschko and Tyson Fury.
Wladimir Klitschko is a very organised man, and to prove this, he got himself down to talkSport to give an interview so he can get the first words in of the day about his opponent Tyson Fury.
Wladimir said he wants this more than ever, he needs it. It’s not for the money, it’s for him, and his loyal fans. It’s an unusual situation for him, it’s a challenge. A challenge he welcomes.
He went on to say how Tyson Fury being the heavyweight champion of the world is an embarrassment for boxing. “I am embarrassed for the sport of boxing to have a heavyweight champion like Fury.”
“I do not accept anything that comes out of his mouth, which is disgraceful to a lot of people. The statement he makes are not what a heavyweight world champion should say. There are so many Klitschko fans even in Manchester saying: ‘please, do it for us, knock him out’!”
“I am here in Manchester, in his hometown, and I am looking forward to getting my revenge.”
“I made a mistake in the last fight and for the first time in 11-and-a-half years I lost. In the past with the three losses I had, I have always come back stronger and I will come back again.”
Tyson Fury and Wladimir Klitschko face each other in a rematch on July 9 this year, at the Manchester Arena.
