Scott Quigg suffered a broken jaw in his fight with Carl Frampton last night.
Quigg said the broken jaw happened in the fourth round, from a Frampton uppercut. Quigg fought on for another 8 rounds with this injury.

Scott Quigg’s X-Ray of his broken jaw.
Quigg said, “It put a spanner in the works.” Some thought Scott had a slow start last night with Frampton taking an early lead on the scorecards. This injury surely played a major part.
Scott Quigg went on to say how he had to fight on with the broken jaw but said it was on his mind for the following 5 rounds. Scott said the jaw numbed up eventually. He compared the sensation to that of a dentist visit. Saying, “It felt like I had been to the dentist and had an injection.”
Quigg went into surgery this morning and is said to be recovering now. Quigg’s promoter, Eddie Hearn posted pictures of Scott’s X-Ray’s saying the ex-champ will be back and stronger than ever.
Quigg has made it clear that he would love a rematch, a chance to get his title back. He said how he wouldn’t have such a slow start next time.
