Nick Blackwell was a guest on Sky Sports News HQ today where he was requesting a sit down with Chris Eubank Jr. and his father. He wants to clear the air and look for the future.
Nick Said, “I would sit down and chat to both of them man to man. No cameras around. I’m happy to do that. A lot of things get said. I have nothing against Eubank Jr, he’s a great fighter.”
“It’s just the stuff his old man said and did, after the fight.”
“Eubank Jr said that he wanted to sit down and talk to me. I would sit down and talk to him, without any media.”
“He probably will give me his belt – but he can’t actually give me his belt at the moment because he needs to defend it three times.”
“Once he’s defended it three times, won it outright, and he gave it to me then fair play to him. But I wouldn’t actually take the belt because I would want to win the belt myself.
“Junior’s not actually a bad lad. I just personally think his old man doesn’t help him.”
Away from the on going drama between Blackwell and team Eubank, it’s all good news for Nick, he is in training, twice a day and seems to be back to full health.
Nick has said he will still be involved in boxing, he’s going to get his training licence and open up his own gym.
Chris Eubank Jr will face Doran on the undercard to Anthony Joshua’s world title defence against Dominic Breazeale at the O2 on June 25.
