This has put Spence Jr. as the number 1 contender for the 147lb IBF welterweight title. A title that is in the hands of Britain’s Kell Brook.

Spence took no time in saying what fight he wants next, a fight that he feels he will win.

Spence said when asked if he now wants to fight Kell Brook, “Yeah definitely I’ll take that fight next, I’m the number 1 contender so I’m next up to fight Kell Brook, that’s the one I’m looking for, and how that fight will go, I will win.”

“Kell Brook’s a good fighter, I take nothing away from him, but I believe in my abilities and I believe in what I can do in the ring.”

When asked what he thinks Kell Brook is thinking after watching his fight with Algieri and whether Spence would travel to the UK to face Brook, Errol said, “I don’t know what Kell Brook’s thinking, I’ll let my camp deal with negotiations. If he comes here then I’ll fight him here, if I have to go over there then it is what it is, I’m not scared of Kell Brook, I’m not scared to go over there to England to bring the title back.”

“Kell Brook knows what time it is. We got to get in the ring and fight.”

Manny Pacquiao wasn't able to stop Algieri where Spence Jr. stopped him in five rounds.

In talking about his performance against Algieri Spence Jr. said, “I did something Manny Pacquiao couldn’t do, nor Amir Khan. That shows where I’m at in the welterweight division. Everyone wanted to see what I could do against a proven fighter and I blew him out of the water. It was pretty one-sided.”
