Manny Pacquiao has had a busy 48 hours, on one day he had an interview where he expressed his views on homosexuality, directly comparing homosexuals to animals. Manny also went on to say how ‘same sex marriage is “barbaric.” Then the next day, he puts out an immediate apology.

Pacquiao said: “I’m sorry for hurting people by comparing homosexuals to animals. Please forgive me for those I’ve hurt. I still stand on my belief that I’m against same sex marriage because of what the Bible says, but I’m not condemning LGBT. I love you all with the love of the Lord. God Bless you all and I’m praying for you.”
I like the idea that everyone’s entitled to their own opinion, but then I think maybe an element of control needs to be implicated when you are in such a roll where your opinions are amplified by your success.
