Welterweight boxing star Sugar Shane Mosley came to the rescue when he spotted a car wreck in Los Angeles.
The boxing ex champion who has won 8 belts is being called a hero for his effects yesterday.
Shane pulled over on Sunday afternoon after there was a massive car crash on the 405 freeway in LA.
Shane spotted a baby trapped in a car, the baby was ‘screaming and bleeding,’ Mosley instinctively stepped in to help.
Mosley said in an interview with KCBS TV, “He did what his first reaction told him to do, help these people, as much as possible.”
Mosley said, “You don’t know if the car is going to catch fire, what’s going to happen, then seeing there’s a baby in there, the baby was crying and bleeding, his neck was bruised.”
Mosley was involved in a car crash himself years back where sadly his nephew died. Years later Shane still carries that pain.
Mosley, 44, then called the baby’s mother to let her know what had happened. He also, and 911 then grabbed the baby’s things and went to the hospital.
Mosley said the father of the baby, who was at the scene of the accident was very grateful for his heroics. He was crying and telling me, ”You guys are like an angel, and thank you for helping me. And being there for me and protecting my son.”
Mosley took to Twitter:
If that wasn’t enough, Mosley reportedly gave the family free tickets to his next fight on May 28 in Glendale, Arizona.
