After his impressive KO victory over Charles Martin on Saturday, Anthony Joshua is looking at keeping the winning momentum going.
When talking about a possible 40 million pound showdown with Tyson Fury AJ said, “It’s bound to happen. We can’t go through this whole era dodging each other, that would be silly.”
Anthony Joshua is keen to start fighting for the bigger names and to add belts to his locker. Joshua said, “Now I want to start adding names to my record, so I can silence these boys. The cream will rise to the top.”
When talking about Fury, AJ said, “As long as he’s talking about me, that’s good. I don’t know why he’s talking about me so much. I don’t mind where we fight. It should be within a year, or even this year.”
“Let’s go after these other guys with a couple of belts and get that household respect in the game. I want to be the kingpin of the division. Trust me, I’m going to get better. I’m going to mess them all up.”
Eddie Hearn is hoping to set up a world title unification fight for Joshua and Fury in November at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium or at Wembley Stadium next summer.
We will have to see if Tyson Fury can do what he did in his first fight against Wladimir Klitschko on July 9th in their rematch first if we are to see a big unification fight with Joshua.
Joshua has said that he is also thinking about going for Deontay Wilder straight after a Tyson Fury clash.
“It’s becoming very possible to unify the division. We’ll see what Wilder does, and it will become more of a reality.”
