Tyson Fury: “I Will Retire After The Klitschko Fight”

Tyson Fury: “I Will Retire After The Klitschko Fight”

Tyson Fury has come forward and said he will retire after the Klitschko rematch, win or lose, “I can’t be fu*ked with this anymore,” said Fury.

Tyson Fury and Wladimir Klitschko will go head to head again in the rematch in Manchester this July.

On the build up to this fight we have seen, and heard, a very different Tyson Fury, a complete contrast to the Fury we saw before the first fight with Wlad.

Tyson has been talking in a way that sounds like he is done with the sport. His father, John, said early April, that he had to talk Tyson out of retirement. Something that has happened a few times.

Before Tyson became the heavyweight champion of the world, he wanted nothing more than that belt around his waist, to be the heavyweight champ was his dream since he was a little kid. But now he is the champ, he feels the job is done. He has said he is now just in the sport to make some money for his kids future.

Tyson gave an interview to iFL TV after the Hughie Fury fight, explaining why he will retire after the Klitschko rematch.

Tyson said, “To be honest with you, I’m well sick of boxing, like I say, this is my last fight, sh*t or bust, all or nothing.”

“All the chips are in, all in, as you say in poker, we’re all in. It’s going to be my last fight win lose or draw.”

“I just can’t be fu*ked with it, that’s the truth, being here tonight, I’m just like so sick of it. I’ve got no motivation to carry on, it’s the same stuff over and over again for years in years out, and it’s just always going to be there, a part of my life, trying to take over my life, it is what it is.”

Talking about if he could top the night in Düsseldorf, when he beat Wladimir to become the heavyweight champion of the world, Tyson said, “It can’t be, I’m just doing this next fight to get a few quid in, and that’s it really, I won’t be boxing again.”

“I’m going to go home, after the fight, I’m never going to go to the gym again, look how fat me dad is, look how fat all me brothers are, and that’s how I’m going to be after this next fight.”

“Don’t ask me to do anymore interviews, don’t ask me to do any sh*t, because after this next fight, there is no more boxing, I’ve got ten weeks of it left and that’s it, good night, goodbye forever.”

“Enjoy it why you can, that’s it, the Fury-mister is out of here, for sure.”

“I promise, because I can’t take this anymore, I can’t take the bullsh*t that comes with the fight game.”

“People always dream to be in my position, but when their in it, it’s not all what it’s cracked up to be.”

Tyson wanted people to be clear, don’t expect him to just turn up and not fight against Klitschko, “Don’t think I’m gong to come there and lay down, I’m going to fu*king come there to fight, Klitschko knows that, you all know that. When the chips are in, the chips are fu*king in, it’s on, game on as they say.”
