Tyson Fury Has Made One Big Change In Camp That’s Helping The Weight Drop Off

WBO and WBA heavyweight champion Tyson Fury started camp way over weight, he faced the tough task of ditching the weight in such a small window of time.

How is he doing this? Tyson has stopped eating meat. He believes that cutting out ‘all’ carbs will get him in shape for his rematch with Wladimir Klitschko on July 9

Tyson and his team are very confident that Fury will still be strong as an ox in time for his fight in Manchester.

Tyson has switches meat for seafood and salad, he has been doing this for the past five weeks. He has become so use to not eating meat, to the point where he is now going off the idea of eating meat again.

He said: “For five weeks I didn’t take any carbs at all, that’s hard work. For this camp I have given up meat as well. So I’m just eating fish and seafood and salad.”

“I have been doing that for five weeks. But for the last two weeks I have been taking a small amount of carbs as well. Salad, fish and potatoes basically. And that’s all I have been eating for seven weeks.”

“It’s got to the point where I don’t like meat anymore, how we kill animals and I’m eating some dead flesh on a plate.”

“If I am sitting in a restaurant and I am looking at the man next to me and he is easting a big juicy steak, I’m like ‘urgh, that’s disgusting’. I’m not a vegetarian, I’m a pescatarian.”

“And I think I will stick to it, because I don’t feel as bloated after eating fish and you don’t want to go and lie down like a lion after it has killed something. I never feel tired after eating fish, I always feel good.”

Tyson said: “At the press conference I was showing the people that I’m a normal person. I ain’t a robot. You don’t need to be a robot to be an elite level fighter. It’s unnecessary.”

“He stays in the gym 365 days a year, I stay in the gym in 12-week periods. A normal person could go from the boozer to world heavyweight champion in 12 weeks.”

“I can go from an obese fat pig to a ripped Adonis in 12 weeks. It is unnecessary to keep in shape all year.”

Talking about his rematch with Klitschko and how he believes Wladimir will want to come forward more, “He had to before, this time he has got to come and try to get me, so it will be easier to land on the target rather than me moving all the time.”

Wladimir Klitschko is planning on coming forward and throwing more punches in the rematch.

“I’ll be bulkier this time. That time I was very fit and athletic and thin. It’s going to be a different fight this time. He’s coming to knock me out and I’m going to blast him. I’m not going to be moving round like a lightweight in this fight.”
